In 2012 I made four paper sculptures for A House With Four Rooms, an exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany. The work was inspired by the Indian proverb that everyone is a house with four rooms—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time but, unless we go into every room every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.

Clearing out my studio during the COVID-19 UK lockdown, I decided to remove work from my inventory that no longer fits my practice. These four pieces lived in our wildflower meadow, left to deteriorate naturally, which I documented here.
