Where did the year go?

Blink and it's over. That's how this year felt to me at least. My Word of the Year has been abundance in all its forms: time, ideas, opportunities, success, well-being, friendship, and love.

As the year draws to a close, what I'm feeling mostly is grateful. I recently re-visited this theme of balancing between enough and too much here.

This is my last Studio Update for 2018 as I'll be taking December to reflect and recharge for the New Year. And to consider what my Word of the Year will be for 2019!

Wishing you and yours a peaceful holiday season and see you in January.

Exhibition: 'Line and Point' at Centrespace, Bristol

Our recent group show, Line and Point, at Centrespace in Bristol exhibition was well-received and a lovely experience to be reunited with recent MA Fine Art grads from my program.

Students from the Bath Spa University MA Dance Program joined us for opening night to add an exciting and poignant performance element to the visual work on exhibition.

I am so pleased to be working with The Art Agency, a very active and exciting gallery just outside of London in Esher, Surrey. I first met owners Alison Ramsay and Emma Riley through framer Paul Webb (who handles their framing and mine), and am grateful for the introduction!

If you're in the area, pop in to take in what they have to offer, including several of my Playing With Fire pieces.

If you're near Bath next week, we're having our annual Open Studios for our MFA program. We kick off with refreshments at our Private View on Wednesday evening, 5th December 6-8pm, and carry through 11am - 6pm the next day. It's a great chance to get a behind-the-scenes peek at work in progress, see how artists work (think sketchbooks and maquettes), and speak directly with students about their emerging practices. Address details are below.
