All of the bio-resin casting tests I did over the winter are finally coming into play with a new piece I recently completed for our traveling group exhibition Inch by IN:CH
The original plan was to cast a replica of a small vintage train case I found on eBay. After lots of testing, I decided to play with the idea of a ‘deconstructed’ wildflower meadow. The result is Meadow Inside, a collection of natural materials gathered from our wildflower meadow that are cast in bio-resin and transported inside the train case.
This project is inspired by my Lockdown Studies, a series I created while in lockdown last year. Meditating on my own ‘meadow inside’ was where I found solace throughout the pandemic.
If you're in the Southwest of England, please come see our work IRL! I’ll continue to share updates about the exhibition here.
